This is a group I am volunteering time to, check it out, good stuff, and starting to meet key people and stuff...health care reform without going socialized.

Looks like good stuff, DB.  I found this forum through an invite you sent me a few years back when I was looking through my message box over at HM.  I have no idea why I didn't come over at the time, must have missed it somehow.

Glad you finally made it!  Welcome.  Come again.

Regarding health care reform, someone needs to tell the Dems that socialism failed.  No need to re-break the wheel.

Yeah, but they are totally sold on socialized, cunno why, gee, it worked so well in Canada they come to Duluth, MN for treatment...it seems from what I have read socialized is pretty good for checkups and routine stuff, but as soon as you get actually ill with anything remotely serious the whole socialized idea totally falls apart.

The democrats are sold on anything socialized because socialism = buying votes.  Its just like welfare.  You put create a system, make sure millions of people are dependent on it, and suddenly you have millions of locked-in votes for your party.  Never mind that you're hurting these people more than helping, never mind that you're stealing from hard working citizens to do it, never mind you're hurting the economy, but hey - at least your comfy seat in Washington is secure!
